Adaptive Camp for Special Needs
This program is specially designed for children with developmental disabilities. Participants in the program will receive individual attention with a one-on-one aide at all times during the camp day. Participants will be integrated into camp programming with peers their own age, as well as specialty programming for special needs. All special needs campers will have the opportunity to participate in rock climbing, swimming, nature activities, arts and crafts, archery, sports, hiking, as well as all other activities. Campers should bring a bagged lunch, bathing suit, towel, sun screen, and water bottle with them on a daily basis. Interested parties should contact the camp director as soon as possible as spaces are limited. The Meriden YMCA reserves the right to deny any applicant based on the participant’s level of need.
