We're excited to bring you two great cooking classes, one for kids and one for adults. You will learn how to cook healthy recipes and eat what you make in class!
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN
This hands-on program will teach your child how to choose and prepare healthy and clean food options for meals and snacks.

- Instructor: Sarah Abbott is a Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Lyman Hall in Wallingford and specializes in healthy living habits and cooking for kids.

COOKING FOR THE HEALTH OF IT
Adult cooking series designed to teach you how to prepare and cook a variety of healthy and nutritious dishes that are delicious, simple to make and won’t break the bank.
- Fall I: September 29 - October 27, 2026 - Dash Dinners - Stove to table 30 minute healthy meals.
- Fall II: November 3 - December 1, 2026 - Pasta Vita - Prep and cook a different pasta each week.
- Day/Time: Tuesdays 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Fee: $80 Full Member and Program Member, $90 Non-Member
- Location: Meriden YMCA Arts Center Kitchen, 14–16 West Main Street Lower level

2. If you do not have a membership yet or need to update your membership, register in-person at the Meriden YMCA at 110 West Main Street.
