Fishing Camp (grades 3 - 8)
Campers learn the basic techniques of fishing out “in the field” at some of Connecticut’s best lakes. Campers will need to provide their own fishing poles and tackle. Bait will be provided by Mountain Mist Day Camp. Max of 10 campers. Bus will leave from Mountain Mist at 9:15 a.m. to transport children to activity then return back to Mountain Mist between 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. for lunch and afternoon activities. Max of 10 campers per session.

Fort Building Camp (grades 3 - 8)
Remember how cool it was as a kid to make forts in the woods with your friends with whatever materials and natural resources you found? Let your child discover the fun of creating something, learning to work with others and making a cool fort! Campers will construct the fort during morning activity periods and participate in traditional camp activities including swimming in the afternoon. Maximum of 10 participants per session.

Horseback Riding Camp (grades 3 - 8)
Campers participate in an intensive two-hour program at Hunter’s Glen Morgans in Cheshire.
Campers will learn skills such as how to properly mount and dismount, walk over poles on the ground in jumping position, shorten and lengthen reins correctly, properly prepare the horse for riding, structured riding, horse grooming and how to feed the horses in a safe manner.
Bus will leave from Mountain Mist at 9:15 a.m. to transport children to activity then return back to Mountain Mist between 12:00-12:30 p.m. for lunch and afternoon activities.
Campers should wear jeans and boots. Please bring shorts, bathing suit and towel for afternoon swim activities. Max of 10 campers per session.
