Meriden YMCA Little Rascals thanks the Fire Department
The students and staff at the Meriden YMCA Little Rascals Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs thank our friends from Engine 5’s Uptown Engine who visited on Friday, Oct. 25. Students enjoyed learning about safety, seeing the equipment that is used to keep people safe and for rescue, and pretended to drive the fire engine. A Misty Night Halloween at Mountain Mist
On Saturday, Oct. 26, princesses, super heroes, ghosts and goblins gathered at the Meriden YMCA Mountain Mist Outdoor Center for an evening of Halloween family fun. Over 600 people enjoyed pumpkin decorating, hayrides, music from The Rips, and a guided tour through our Misty Night Halloween Trail in the woods. Cowboys, Panthers win flag football titles
The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans played in the Super Bowl at Ceppa Field Monday night, more than 1,500 miles from either city. The opposing teams were not NFL franchises, but squads consisting of 5- to 7 year-olds playing in an NFL-sponsored YMCA flag football league and competing for the championship in their age group. A second Super Bowl — this one for the 8- to 10 year-old division — pitted the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears.
