Who is this program for?

  • Adults approximately 50–65 years of age
  • Formerly active adults who have become stiff, weaker, or inconsistent
  • Adults training for an active life of travel, recreation sports, activities, and longevity

Skills you will learn:

1. Foundational strength-training technique and execution of movements: Squat, Hinge, Push, Pull, Carry, Step, Brace, Rotation & Anti-rotation.

2. Joint Mobility and Flexibility

  • Techniques proven to improve joint space
  • Stretching muscles the right way

3. Just Right Challenge - Clients will learn when to:

  • Increase or decrease reps/weight to create change
  • Adapt range of motion in an exercise
  • Modify or progress an exercise

3. Consistency management - Clients will learn how to preserve momentum through:

  • Busy weeks
  • Travel
  • Minor flare-ups
  • Low motivation
  • Schedule changes

4. Recovery Awareness - Clients will understand how sleep, nutrition, stress, soreness, and workload affect training readiness.

Instructor

Eric Carrero

Eric is a Personal Trainer and holds a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy, offering a clinically informed approach to exercise and movement training. His experience across healthcare, athletic, and community-based settings allows him to work effectively with individuals managing movement limitations, returning to exercise after injury, or seeking to maintain strength and independence as they age.

Eric specializes in strength and mobility training that supports joint health, functional movement, and long-term physical resilience. His programming emphasizes proper mechanics, progressive loading, and individualized exercise selection to ensure training is both safe and effective for a wide range of abilities and goals.

In addition to working with adults and older populations, Eric has experience training high school athletes, focusing on foundational strength, movement quality, and injury risk reduction. He holds multiple strength and mobility certifications and integrates evidence-informed principles into his coaching to support sustainable, lifelong physical activity.
