Meriden YMCA
The Meriden YMCA is currently seeking applicants for the following position:
Lifeguard – The Meriden YMCA is looking for qualified and energetic individuals to monitor pool activities and ensure member safety. Lifeguards will be responsible for carrying out and enforcing aquatic policies and procedures, the rescue and response to emergency situations and basic pool maintenance procedures. Must be friendly, able to communicate well verbally and in writing and be able to handle several functions at once.
Requirements:
▪ Must be 16 years of age or older.
▪ Prior experience working with children in a sports related environment, swimming environment preferred.
* If you are not lifeguard certified the Meriden YMCA will allow you to take the lifeguard training course offered by the Meriden YMCA at no charge (the course fee will be waived). However you will be responsible to pay for the certification, book and mask fee in the amount of $75.
