Flattening the Curve

Supporting the Front Line Workers

By The Hometown Foundation Inc.

The Hometown Foundation Inc., in conjunction with Bozzuto’s, Inc., Geissler's Supermarkets, and John Fitch Distilling Company recently donated 25 units of hand sanitizer to the Meriden YMCA for their daycare personnel who are providing free child care for children of hospital employees, first responders, and essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our centers follow strict protocols to keep staff and children healthy and safe. Having these hand sanitizers readily available helps us achieve those goals. This allows staff to concentrate on working with the children to continue their learning, and provide the social and emotional support children need at this critical time,” said John Benigni, CEO of the Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA.

The Hometown Foundation, Inc. is supporting the current COVID-19 pandemic through their Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative. Funds raised for the Hometown COVID- 19 Relief initiative are being used to purchase cleaning products and food supplies for these essential service providers. "We believe in neighbors helping neighbors " said Mackenzie Doyle, Events and Marketing Manager for the Hometown Foundation Inc. "We are also fortunate to be able to partner with our retailers and suppliers who are always willing to pitch in and provide a helping hand."
