The Meriden YMCA, located at 110 West Main Street in Meriden, is adding more programs to meet the unique needs of the older adults in our community. By partnering with the nationally recognized Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program, the Meriden YMCA is able to offer older adults a way to increase their levels of physical activity while motivating them to remain active through complimentary memberships and exercise classes.

Starting January 4th at 11:00am, eligible members will be able to attend SilverSplash®, the newest SilverSneakers group exercise class. SilverSplash offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and card in ovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required and a special SilverSneakers kickboard is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination.
